Pay Rate and Schedule:
The position includes a wage of$26.98/hour(this includes a base wage of
$25.73 plus theadditional$1.25 /hourshift differential)and acomprehensive day-one benefitsprogramand on-site health and wellness!
Openings available on2ndshift: Monday Friday 2 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.
Top Candidates Will Have:
Experience in equipment paint processing booth/spray paint processor a paint related certificate or certified trade school/technical degree in paint related field
Experience intop coat prime coat and electrostatic paintorsimilarprocess
Top Candidates Will Have:
Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings
Leadership experience
Heavy crane equipment experience
Ability to read standard work and write continuous improvement cards
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
Ability toutilizecomputerfor production transactions standard workupdatesand various projects
Experience using paint tools including cup paintgunsandersand buffers.
Knowledge of paint properties
Knowledge of Caterpillar standards for paint quality (1E 2001 specs forpaint)
Your Role Day to Day:
Responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries occupationalillnessesand safety incidents. Sand mask wash paint and touch-up components and machines according to blueprint and engineering drawings Electronically and manuallymaintaindocumentation for labor hour records work order processing and production documentation (Serial Number reporting Material Transfer records Defective Materials reports etc.). Perform activities related to hazardous waste handlingPrioritizework to meet production schedules. Take initiative toidentify document communicate and correct problems related to paint report discrepancies and recommend solutions.Identifyand relay information for correction on discrepancies in affected assembly processes safetyqualityand production issues. Support team People Quality Velocity and Cost (PQVC) initiatives and daily activities. Work and interact effectively in a team environment in alignment with our Code of Conduct and Values in Action. Complete other projects as needed. Work with limited supervision

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Detail:
Exposure to paint fumes catalyst fumes isopropanol fumes and wash fumesExposureto wash paint application and clean up chemicalsNoiselevels of 85db or greater.
Operate overhead cranes jib cranes and hoists Lift up to 35lbs frequently Work at multiple heights Climb on equipment machines ladders man lifts and various step stools Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices Kneel squat and crawl on knees Work in awkward positions including forward reach lateral reach squat overhead reaching twisting and forward head and rotation of neck. Work in tight spaces Repetitive grasping pushing pulling rotating Use of fine motor skills Use of paint and wash tools including cup paintgunsandersand buffers etc.

Summary Pay Range:
$24.50 - $31.50Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
