UF Veterinary Hospitals at WEC provides Equine sports medicine rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging services and Small Animal primary care and urgent care services. Benefits: This is a full-time benefited position and is considered essential personnel. As a Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Technician 2 based at the UFVH at WEC the individual in this position must possess equine and small animal handling skills excellent communication skills and be proactive in determining the needs of the hospital. A successful applicant should enjoy learning new things and can quickly adapt to a changing environment. They need to possess a good base knowledge of veterinary medicine and express a positive attitude in their daily work. The individual must be able to communicate effectively demonstrate critical thinking and professionalism. This individual will assist with patient scheduling and ensuring image reports are finalized and distributed timely and effectively. Diagnostic imaging supports services throughout the hospitals by obtaining high quality radiologic imaging of patients for interpretation by a radiologist. These images with an interpretation will provide information that will help determine a diagnosis for their patient. Our technicians work independently and in teams. The technician would be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the areas and equipment maintenance as well as maintaining inventory and stock.
