Job Summary
We are currently taking applications for an amazing toddler teacher to help us continue to provide exceptional care!
We are currently hiring for an assistant teacher/floater for our toddler age group. Our center is locally owned and offers a warm loving and supporting environment for staff as well as children. We understand our staff have families and outside responsibilities; we work with staff to meet their needs as well as those of the center and addition we support and encourage our staff to continue education and training! We prefer Teachers to have a minimum of a 1 year experience as well as knowledge and understanding of child development toddler behavior schedules and addition applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a background check TB test and a physical. We are looking for individuals with a passion for teaching children; people with excellent communication skills as well as a team mindset. Good classroom management skills are a must.
Pay will depend on education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Creates lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
- Document learning experience through displays and pictures
- Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis
- Maintains a safe comforting and stimulating environment for toddlers
- Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
- Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a preschool environment
- Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels with speaking to parents
- Energetic nurturing positive child-friendly personality
- Shows initiative; strong work ethic
- High school diploma
Compensation: $15.50 - $18.25 per hour
