We will expose you to multiplefacetsof the IT Infrastructure (Servers Networking Workstations) and Cyber Security world. You will experience a professional business environment where you can sharpen your troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsgrow inyour knowledge and experiences. With your academic growth in the classroom weseekto provide multiple experiences during your student career at Daktronics which may mean rotating to different job responsibilities.

• Work withinITSecurity Operations team on activities to solve problems.
• Assistin security operations center activities.
• Troubleshoot and investigate security events.
• Assistwith vulnerability management activities including patching of workstations and servers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Work with Daktronics users and partners on security related inquiries including phishing and social engineering.
• Occasionally may work with the IT Infrastructure Operations team
• Complete workin a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
• Regularly and reliably work scheduled hours.

When will I work

Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

Where is this opportunity located

Position has the flexibility to work from a U.S. based home office in the Brookings or Sioux Falls SD will be an occasional need to be present on a Daktronics position is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.

What are the pay and perks

The typical hiring range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour based on the location of Sioux Falls SD. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors including relevant education experiences location and applicable local legislation.

Students with GPA of 3.5 and above may be eligible for a $500 Academic Excellence Reward for each spring and fall semester completed while employed. Additional conditions may apply.

To be considered for Cyber Security Operations Student we require the following:

Academic Requirements:

• Thepreferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits and currently enrolled in accreditedBachelors degree program inCyber Security Cyber Operations Information Technology Information Systems Computer Science or a related degree.
• The preferred candidate will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.
• Only strong academic performers will be acceptable GPA with preference to 3.0 GPA or greater.
• Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must besubmittedwith application to be considered for this position.

Preferred Experiences:

• Information Technology networking and cyber security isrequired. Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems networking protocols cyber security best practices preferred.
• Microsoft Windows familiarity including:
  • User accounts and groups
  • Permission set concepts
  • System application and security event logs
  • Ability to dig into application and service logs fortroubleshooting.

Other Requirements:

• Candidateshould be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to40 hoursper week during the summer.
• Good oral and written communication skills good organizational skills self-motivation.
• Good problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal.
