Position Overview:

Join the Woolpert Team for an internship experience that offers real-world project involvement within a supportive environment alongside ample opportunities for professional and personal growth specific to our community of students. At this time we are seeking a Transportation Planning Intern (Co-op) in Woolperts Cincinnati Ohio office for the summer semester. This position would be a part-time internship for the Spring 2026 semester (10-20 hours per week).

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What you will do:

The Transportation Planning Intern will work alongside the Woolpert Transportation group on various projects learning how to apply GIS mapping and analysis graphics support public involvement client communications and full report production including writing and editing. Our clients include federal state and local government agencies; development firms; Metropolitan Planning Organizations; public-private partnerships; and all projects include the implementation of planning directlyimpactthe communitiesthroughcontext-sensitive design.

  • Work as part of theWoolpert Transportation Group
  • Gain real-world experienceworking alongsideplanners architectsengineersand other designers
  • Learn aboutdevelopingplans that are customized toeach of our clients needsas well astheplanning contextin ordertoestablisha long-range vision forsustainableequitable and safemultimodaltransportation networksand communities

  • Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university preferably with at least third-year status
  • Be studyingPlanningArchitectureEngineeringSustainabilityor arelated field
  • Be an investigative learner ask questions anddemonstratecuriosity to learn more
  • Have a general understanding and working knowledge of variousgraphics capabilityincludingArcGISAdobe Creative SuiteMicrosoft Office and related programs
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Function well in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Have exceptional multitasking and time management skills

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience.

Pay Range

$20 - $22 USD
