Employment Type:Temporary with potential for Full-Time

Duration:2nd Semester: January 5th-end of May with potential for Full-time

Responsibilities:

Teach Middle School Social Studies including reading writing grammar and literature.
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and the schools curriculum.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Assess student progress through assignments quizzes and other formative and summative assessments.
Provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding academic progress.
Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of instruction.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Social Studies Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification for Tennessee in Social Studies or Social Studies for middle school.
Prior teaching experience preferably with middle school students.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.

Compensation:

Hamilton County Salary Scale
