We are seeking an experienced Chairperson to lead our Board of Directors. This is not a passive role. We need a strategic heavyweight who can mentor our Founder ensure robust governance and leverage their network to help us navigate our next stage of expansion and investment.

Tasks

As Chairperson you will be the steady hand on the tiller ensuring the company remains focused compliant and ambitious.

• Strategic Alignment: You will work closely with the Founders to refine the long-term vision ensuring our commercial strategy aligns with our mission to eradicate food waste.
• Board Leadership: You will chair quarterly Board meetings (in Dublin) setting the agenda to ensure productive focused discussions on strategy risk and performancenot just operational updates.
• Founder Mentorship: You will act as a sounding board and confidant to the CEO and Founders helping them navigate the challenges of scaling a high-growth tech company.
• Fundraising & Networking: You will leverage your personal network to open doors for commercial partnerships and support the Founders during future fundraising rounds (Series A and beyond).
• Governance Excellence: You will oversee financial reporting and compliance ensuring Positive Carbon adheres to the highest standards of corporate governance.

Requirements

Who You Are:

• Board Experience: You have prior experience as a Chairperson or Non-Executive Director (NED) for a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
• Scale-Up Veteran: You have successfully guided a company through the scaling journey (Seed to Series A/B and beyond). You know the pitfalls to avoid.
• Sector Expertise: While not mandatory experience in Food Tech ESG/Sustainability or Enterprise SaaS is highly desirable.
• Commercial Acumen: You possess a strong understanding of B2B sales cycles recurring revenue models and financial planning.
