Job Summary

Radiation Therapy - Radiation Oncology at Altru (Grand Forks ND) Radiation Therapist needed at Altru Hospital. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No weekend work. Required: North Dakota license ARRT BLS 13-weeks $100/hour rate Submission packets must include resume appropriate skills checklist and proof of licensure (Full NURSYS report if RN). No coversheet required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 yrs experience in specific specialty. Med Surg RNs must have 2 yrs inpatient acute care experience in a larger hospital. Altru is a Level 2 Trauma Center. Recent travel experience required. Prefer 3 completed assignments. Epic experience required. Altru does not have a radius rule. Local travelers are accepted and there is no rate difference. Thank you Job Description Summary The Radiation Therapist treats cancer patients using x-rays. They are responsible for setting up the patients in the correct treatment position to deliver radiation precisely to the targeted area. Job Description Delivers radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescription and standard operating procedures and completes all required documentation. Executes the precise positioning of the patient with respect to radiation beam and treatment area. Observes and assesses patient for clinical changes and reports signs of complications. Applies principles of basic radiation physics radiation interactions and radiation protection i.e. wears radiation film badge. Completes Quality Assurance tracking records results and assists in maintaining records. Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Certifications Radiation Therapy - Certification North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners Prior to Start Date HR Primary Sources Radiation Therapy - Certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Within 6 Months of Start Date HR Primary Sources Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) Prior to Start Date Learning Management System Notes ND Conditional/Temporary permit accepted prior to start
