Job Summary: College Pathway Navigator serves as the key point of contact for students interested in transitioning from workforce development non-credit programs to college credit-bearing career programs. The navigator offers guidance to students on the educational pathway options at HACC. The incumbent helps students navigate the complexities of HACC career pathways and the processes for transitioning to credit-bearing programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Education Counseling Psychology Human Services and 3 years experience in student services academic support or advising; or a related field; or a combination to successfully complete the essential duties of the position.

- 25% Pathway Outreach (Perkins Related): o Conduct outreach aimed at transitioning non-credit students into career pathway credit programs. o Promote the benefits of non-credit to credit pathways to prospective students through presentations coaching sessions and informational materials explaining career pathway options. o Design and implement workshops and resources to help non-credit students understand the transition to career pathway credit-bearing programs. - (Essential)
- 25% Pathway Navigation (Perkins Related): o Act as a primary resource for students by explaining the academic career pathways. o Manage a caseload of students in a specified pathway by program area. o Offer support with enrollment processes including application assistance placement testing and financial aid applications. o Guide students in understanding program requirements deadlines and credit transfer procedures. o Connect students with institutional resources including tutoring services career counseling academic advising student access services and financial aid. o Provide one-on-one guidance to help students navigate institutional processes as they pursue career programs. o Maintain updated knowledge of all non-credit to credit program options course equivalencies and institutional policies. - (Essential)
- 25% Collaboration and Coordination (Perkins Related): o Serve as a liaison between academic advising and academic schools to ensure effective communication and seamless transitions for students. o Work closely with academic advisors staff and administrators to streamline and improve the non-credit to credit transition process. o Participate in cross-functional workgroups to discuss program updates student needs and ways to enhance service delivery to students. o Collaborate with academic programs admissions financial aid registrars offices and other related units to simplify enrollment and credit transfer procedures for students. o Collaborate with Workforce Development to establish new possible career pathways from non-credit to credit. o Participate in program development and implementation as well as support institutional initiatives that promote student success. o Maintain sensitivity understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment inclusive of students faculty and staff of varying social economic cultural. o Conduct outreach and training about non-credit to credit career pathways with Admissions Welcome Center Academic Advisors Success Coaches Workforce Development and other HACC units to ensure pathway awareness within HACC. - (Essential)
- 10% Virtual Navigator Support: o Troubleshoots student success technology tools and workflows to ensure seamless advising and coaching support for students. o Facilitates workshops communication campaigns and pop-up tabling to increase student utilization of the Navigate and Degree Works systems as well as other related academic planning and scheduling tools. o Assist with training for advisors and serves as a resource in the use of Navigate and other advising related tools. o Participates in college-wide activities/events strategies and improvement efforts to support enrollment retention and overall student success. - (Essential)
- 10% Data Tracking and Reporting: o Use student success technologies such as Banner Student Navigate and Degree Works to document and ensure all relevant student information is up-to-date. o Maintain accurate records of student interactions goals progress and any interventions provided. o Track student data related to enrollment retention and completion rates providing reports to the unit director AVP or VP as needed. o Track and analyze student performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in student support. - (Essential)
