Responsibilities
The Credentialing Specialist CCH coordinates monitors and performs the credentials verification process for initial appointments temporary privileges provisional reviews and reappointments of physicians and allied health professionals. Through formal and on-the-job training incumbents will develop their skills in all aspects of initial comprehensive credentialing and privileging to include reappointment process and temporary privilege requests in accordance with the Department of Managed Healthcare (DMHC) and NCQA accreditation standards state and federal regulatory requirements bylaws rules and regulations policies and procedures aligned with the Knox-Keene Act.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Associates Degree preferred
Experience
1 year previous Medical Staff experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
CPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist preferred
