About the Role
Ironbark is seeking a proactive and people-focused Employment Placement Officer to join our Workforce Australia this role you will build strong relationships with employers across a range of industries and connect Jobseekers with suitable employment opportunities. Working closely with internal teams to prepare Jobseekers for employment and help identify any barriers that may impact job readiness or retention. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys employer engagement supporting people into meaningful employment and contributing to positive community and program outcomes.
What you will do
Day to day this role will see you engage with employers to secure employment opportunities and refer Jobseekers to suitable vacancies. Conducting job readiness assessments ensuring all placement obligations and program incentives are clearly communicated and working with internal teams to coordinate support when barriers arise.
The position involves managing accurate and audit ready documentation by recording referrals placement details and employer contact using Workforce Australia systems. Building strong employer and Jobseeker relationships and supporting quality employment outcomes will be key parts of your success in this role.
We are looking for someone who has:
Relevant experience or qualifications aligned with employer engagement job matching or recruitment.
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
An understanding of cultural safety particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Proven ability to work to targets and contract outcomes.
Strong computer skills and ability to work across digital compliance systems.
