Job Summary

SUMMARY

Cracker Country is a rural Florida living history museum located on the Florida State Fairgrounds. The museum welcomes guests annually during the Florida State Fair and operates year-round educational field trips and public events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Store Cashiers are responsible for completing sales of merchandise. Cashiers will operate a computerized screen for transactions.
Cashiers assist with stocking customer service and light cleaning of the work area.
Must be available to work all dates during the annual Florida State Fair February 5-/10am 6pm and to attend two training sessions prior to the start of the fair. Good attendance is expected.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent/GED

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in cashiering cash handling and/or cash and credit card transactions.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service.
Experience working in a specialty gift shop or museum store environment is a plus.
Must have exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal skills. Must know how to use a computer and be familiar with modern cash register technology.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to stand walk sit use hands reach with arms and hands talk hear and occasionally lift or move objects 10-20 pounds.

Salary Description

$15.00 per Hour
