Position Title: EL1 Delivery Manager
Employment Type: Labour hire contract (approx 10 months with potential to extend)
Location: Canberra
Hourly Pay Rate: Negotiable dependent on skills and experience
Security Clearance/Requirements: Must hold minimum Baseline clearance at time of application
An Australian Government organisation is seeking an experiencedDelivery Manager to support the delivery of complex technology initiatives within a large-scale transformation program. The role will contribute to the delivery of significant ICT and legislative reform initiatives working closely with senior stakeholders delivery teams and governance forums.
This role is suited to an EL1-equivalent professional with strong delivery leadership stakeholder management and program coordination experience in complex environments.
Prepare maintain and manage value stream delivery plans to ensure outcomes are delivered on time within scope budget and quality expectations
Identify manage and escalate delivery risks issues and dependencies across multiple teams
Remove delivery impediments and resolve blockers in collaboration with delivery systems and enabling teams
Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to refine scope and prioritise work
Manage and allocate resources including identifying gaps constraints leave and additional effort requirements
Lead Program Increment (PI) planning events and contribute to governance showcases and steering committees
Maintain strong professional relationships with senior executives directors and delivery stakeholders
Ensure accurate reporting on delivery progress milestones risks and issues
Drive continuous improvement and best practice across delivery ways of working
Support DevOps hygiene delivery framework transitions and solution roadmap milestones
Essential:
Minimum 5 years experience delivering ICT projects to time cost quality and scope
Proven ability to lead and motivate small multidisciplinary delivery teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and expectation management capabilities
Demonstrated experience delivering data exchanges repositories and metadata models including governance controls
Ability to work with business and data teams to develop actionable solutions from complex data
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications or industry certification in Project Management Management or a related discipline
Experience delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs within an Australian Government environment
Australian Citizenship is required
Must hold minimum Baseline clearance at time of application
