DescriptionYour role is as FCSDs main point of contact for Global Powertrain Balance Outs provides the opportunity to lead and execute optimal service strategies for current/future Powertrain Balance Out programs.
ResponsibilitiesAct as FCSDs Global single point of contact for powertrain balance outs
Develop optimal service strategy for powertrain programs balancing out in future
Represent supply chain interests during the development of the remanufacturing cycle plan
Support the Powertrain Operations Global Service Policy team in determining the optimal means of servicing vehicle owners post-production balance out (plant continued manufacture all time buy or bridge run)
Develop plan for powertrain programs imminently balancing out of production
Collaborate with Manufacturing Strategy and Advance Planning to identify all assemblies & components balancing out of production
Partner with Remanufacturing Product Commodity Team to determine optimal bridge run quantity and time frame for programs with future remanufactured options
Calculate all time buy/ bridge run quantities for material balancing out
Cascade the needed all time buy or bridge run quantity data to Supply Chain Powertrain Purchasing to include in business case reviews.
Implement service strategy for powertrain programs balancing out of production
Work with plants and packagers to develop shipment schedule for all time buys/bridge runs
Work with inventory planning team to enact longer period buys
Ensure robust part availability during and after the transition from production to service-only parts.
Work with suppliers purchasing and plants to ensure all plan milestones are achieved driving accountability and progress.
Prepare and present concise data-driven balance-out program reports to Senior Executive management summarizing complex information clearly for quick decision-making.
Assist supply chain analysts with resolving supply availability issues throughout the life of powertrain parts providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Maintain powertrain part availability by tracking analyzing and resolving part shortage situations
Support the department on various special programs/activities contributing to continuous improvement and innovation
QualificationsProficient knowledge of SAP and the demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and master new complex systems.
Deep understanding of PS&L supply chain and parts operations with an emphasis on practical application.
Strong knowledge of powertrain manufacturing processes and plant operations.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Access) with expertise in developing complex Excel formulas for data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to write queries obtain large-scale data to make data driven decisions using Alteryx Power BI or QlikView.
Proven ability to create and manage shareable documents and forms in SharePoint enhancing team collaboration and efficiency.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead and facilitate discussions with Senior Executive management.
Superior analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data evaluate actions read and interpret Engineering Bill of Materials and reach logical conclusions swiftly.
Excellent organizational skills capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to demand accountability from all stakeholders and drive results.
Proven ability to positively influence and lead a team fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
