PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I leverage business knowledge strategic objectives and market trends to develop and implement marketing initiatives that optimize media investments maximize the effectiveness of different media that ultimately impact consumer and generate revenue for our business. My communication area of responsibility is Commercial calendar communication and visitation driving communication.
With the oversight of the marketing manager I lead budget planning and expense reconciliation ensuring efficient resource allocation for these two areas of the marketing communication this capacity I manage the team responsible for the social media strategy and media agency performance evaluation.
I ensure that all marketing initiatives reflect IKEAs brand values adapting them to the Mexican market while maintaining a strong connection with home furnishing trends and local retail strategies. My goal is to inspire consumers to fall in love with our products and to visit our CMPS aligning marketing efforts with consumer needs and business priorities with the wider marketing team and Marketing and PR Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB .
Management and Expense Reconciliation
Together with the Marketing and PR manager I help to define the marketing budget ensuring efficient resource use aligned with business objectives.
Work closely with finance business Navigation and selected members of the marketing team to update the marketing spend against the agreed budget allocation ensuring we maximise the budget as we progress through the financial year.
Oversee expense reconciliation for media and campaigns ensuring transparency and financial compliance.
Lead the analytical process for measuring the effectiveness of campaigns the return on investment (ROI) of each marketing initiative optimizing resource allocation within my area of the marketing communication plan.
2. Social Media Strategy
Define and implement a social media strategy aligned with IKEAs brand identity values and business objectives in Mexico.
Oversee content management engagement and performance across digital channels ensuring cultural relevance for the Mexican audience.
Ensure social media integration with other marketing initiatives to maximize impact and strengthen the brand.
3. Media Agency Performance Measurement
Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate media agency performance and campaign effectiveness. Analyse results and transform data into strategic insights to optimize future media investments.
Coordinate regular meetings with agencies for ongoing monitoring and strategy optimization.
4. Understanding Home Furnishing Trends and Local Retail Strategies
Stay up to date with global and local home furnishing trends ensuring IKEAs marketing efforts are relevant to the Mexican market.
Adapt and implement IKEAs retail strategy to align with the behaviours and needs of Mexican consumers.
Develop campaigns that highlight the functionality sustainability and affordability of IKEAs product range in a way that resonates with the local audience.
5. Leadership and Team Management
Lead and develop the team responsible for social media and media agency performance.
Foster a collaborative work environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure the team is aligned with the strategic vision IKEA values and business priorities in Mexico.
