Position Overview:
Praescient Analytics is seeking a Data Engineer Midto design build and optimize data pipelines and backend data systems supporting IRS Unified API services. This role plays a key part in integrating legacy systems with modern data platforms to ensure reliable secure and scalable data access.This position requires U.S. citizenship.The role will be hybrid with work locations in Washington DC or Lanham MD.
Key Responsibilities:
Design build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse data sources
Integrate data from legacy systems modern databases and data lakes
Optimize data workflows for performance reliability and scalability
Support data orchestration versioning and CI/CD processes
Collaborate with application analytics and AI teams
Ensure data quality governance and compliance standards are met
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience in data engineering or backend data systems
Proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala
Experience with tools such as Apache Airflow Spark dbt Kafka Databricks or Flink
Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake BigQuery Redshift) and data lakes
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- US Citizenship and the ability to undergo an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with real-time or streaming data processing
Knowledge of data governance privacy and compliance practices
Experience supporting analytics or machine learning teams
