Palace Yard is a cross-party think tank that brings together parliamentarians policymakers industry and academics to improve understanding of complex and far-reaching policy issues. Its work supports informed decision-making across Westminster by translating specialist topics into clear actionable insight. Palace Yard also manages All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) and provides political insight to help stakeholders navigate Westminster.
Founded and led by The Rt Hon Natascha Engel former MP and Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons Palace Yard has built a strong reputation for trusted balanced and expert-led policy engagement. Its programmes cover areas such as energy technology and infrastructure connecting those shaping policy with those delivering it.
The Programme Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of Palace Yards energy-focused programmes managing projects from conception to completion and ensuring that events policy outputs and stakeholder engagement are of the highest quality.

Programme delivery: Lead the planning and execution of Palace Yards energy and policy programmes ensuring deadlines are met and outputs delivered to an exceptional standard.
Event management: Coordinate parliamentary and stakeholder eventssecuring venues confirming speakers preparing briefing materials and managing guest lists.
Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with parliamentarians industry partners and policy experts acting as a trusted point of contact.
Parliamentary liaison: Monitor activity across Parliament and government identifying opportunities for engagement and collaboration.
Research and communication: Draft briefings agendas and written content that clearly communicate complex policy issues.
Operational support: Ensure systems timelines and processes run smoothly across multiple concurrent projects.
Programme and project management experience: Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver projects involving multiple partners and tight deadlines.
Politically aware: Understanding of the parliamentary process and a strong interest in UK politics and policy.
Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
Relationship builder: Skilled at developing and maintaining professional networks across business politics and academia.
Organised and adaptable: Capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Collaborative and proactive: A self-starter who works well independently but thrives as part of a small dynamic team.
Energy sector interest: Experience or enthusiasm for energy and infrastructure policy would be an advantage.
