Your leadership will help clients navigate environmental assessments with confidence and integrity.

What Your Impact Is

  • Serve as the technical lead for human health risk assessment across major environmental assessment projects nationwide.

  • Shape strategies that integrate human health considerations into large-scale mining power and oil & gas developments.

  • Mentor and grow a team of scientists fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

  • Influence regulatory engagement and stakeholder communications including Indigenous communities.

  • Drive innovation in risk assessment methodologies and compliance strategies.

What Youll Bring

Required:

  • . in Toxicology Biochemistry or related field with substantial practical experience.

  • 8 years of consulting experience in human health risk assessment for environmental assessments.

  • Deep knowledge of Health Canada and provincial regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven ability to lead technical deliverables for environmental assessments and permit applications.

  • Eligibility for credentials as a Qualified Professional for regulatory oversight.

Preferred:

  • . in Toxicology Biochemistry or related discipline.

  • 10 years of consulting experience including leadership roles.

  • Experience with First Nations engagement and regulatory review processes.

  • Familiarity with Ontario risk assessment processes (. 153/04) and contaminated site assessments.

  • Qualified Person for Risk Assessment (QPRA) designation in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand ERMs human health risk assessment services across Canada.

  • Ensure technical quality of modeling and reporting deliverables.

  • Develop proposals scopes and cost estimates; contribute to business development.

  • Guide junior team members and build a high-performing technical team.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Support client compliance strategies and long-term monitoring recommendations.

  • Engage with regulators Indigenous groups and stakeholders to build trust and transparency.

For the Technical Director Human Health Risk Assessment position the anticipated annual base pay is $147393 $164676 (CAD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education experience skills location performance and business some cases pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
