Part-Time Controller (1015 hrs/week) - Omaha Construction Company - Mostly Remote - $45-$65/hour

Our team is excited to partner with a growing Omaha-based construction company thats ready to bring on an experienced part-time Controller to help support the next phase of growth.

This is a flexible role - roughly 1015 hours per week primarily remote. The right person would pop into the West Omaha office about once a week for a few hours to stay connected with the team and be available during the day for calls or emails when questions come up.

What theyre looking for:

• Construction accounting experience - The team is strong on operations and is looking for someone to own the accounting side invoicing AP/AR payroll & unemployment taxes quarterly federal taxes clean journal entries budgeting and forecasting WIP tracking for bonding reconciliations and financial reporting for ownership.

• Sage experience is a plus - Theyre in the process of moving from QuickBooks to Sage. Sage Intacct experience would be great but its not required.

• A true partner - As the company grows the owner wants this person to grow with them - someone proactive who enjoys building processes tightening controls and helping protect the business as it scales.

This group came together after working at larger construction firms and intentionally built something smaller more agile and free of red tape while still tackling meaningful commercial projects around Omaha. Theyre looking for someone easygoing no-ego and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. Youll have autonomy the ability to spot opportunities for improvement and the freedom to jump in where needed.
