About the Position
The Multimedia Producer creates engaging video audio and visual content that helps the Recorders Office connect with Maricopa County residents. As the primary videographer and photographer for the department you will capture key events develop compelling stories and produce multimedia that enhances public understanding of our services programs and community outreach.
About Us
The Maricopa County Recorders Office (MCRO) is responsible for recording all documents required by law and making them available for public record. MCRO oversees the voter registration process documentation and administration for the Countys approximately 2.5 million voters. It also plays a management role in overseeing early voting all mail elections and other election processes and administration. We Require
- Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism Film/Media Production Public Relations Public Administration or a related field
- A combination of post-secondary education and/or communications/public relations experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
- Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona drivers license by the time of hire
- Must be eligible to vote in Arizona and pass an applicable background screening

- Strong writing skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of editing software and other applicable tools such as Adobe Canva and Premiere Pro
Job Contributions
- Serve as the primary videographer and photographer for all Recorders Office events programs outreach efforts and internal initiatives
- Plan film photograph and edit multimedia content including videos audio short-form media and still photography to support public outreach and communication
- Produce digital media from concept through final delivery including developing storyboards scripts production plans and edited final assets.
- Design and edit graphics and visual materials for social media presentations flyers publications and other public-facing communications
- Write and review communication materials such as social posts newsletters press releases and informational updates
- Maintain and update website content including uploading videos photos announcements and key public information
- Ensure all digital content complies with accessibility requirements county branding and public information standards
- Support internal communications needs across Recorders Office divisions and perform other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in a standard business office environment. Duties may require travel to off-site locations and exposure to outdoor elements during events outreach activities or filming. Some evening and weekend work may be required throughout the year based on departmental needs.
The role requires the ability to lift objects from floor-to-waist up to 25 pounds and push or pull items up to 50 pounds including multimedia equipment. Responsibilities involve frequent analytical work as well as clear oral and written communication. The position requires a high level of integrity confidentiality accuracy ethical conduct and professionalism in all interactions.
