Work ScheduleOffice hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Some evening availability for events or tabling. Work schedules are flexible based on class schedules and availability. The expected involvement is 10 hours per week. CCSSs are also expected to attend bi-semester staff meetings.

Position OverviewThe Career CenterStudent Specialists(CCSS)are student leaders who communicateUniversity Career Centerprogrammingservicesand opportunities to studentsandtothe University of Kansas community. CCSSs serve as a vital direct link between the UCC and students who are seeking careeradvising. Theyprovide warm and friendly customer service at the UCC front desk managingemailphoneand in-person inquiries. CCSSsalso review resumes video mock interviewsand representthe UCC during tablingand Careerevents.

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled inno fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1)have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre-enrolledin the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or be enrolled insummer session or be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. StudentHourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted forGRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
