SAP FICO Consultant – Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules along with hands-on experience in implementation configuration and support projects. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing business requirements designing effective solutions and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end implementation and support activities for SAP FICO modules.
Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
Configure and customize FI modules including General Ledger (GL) Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) Asset Accounting (AA) and Bank Accounting.
Configure and customize CO modules including Cost Center Accounting Profit Center Accounting Internal Orders and COPA.
Handle integration points between FICO and other SAP modules such as MM SD and PP.
Perform testing activities including unit testing integration testing and UAT ensuring successful system deployment.
Provide post-implementation support and resolve functional issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain documentation including functional specifications configuration documents and test scripts.
Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP BASIS) for custom developments and system enhancements.
Participate in month-end and year-end financial closing support activities.
Stay updated with the latest SAP releases and best practices in FICO.
Required Skills and Qualifications
7–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation and support.
Strong understanding of financial accounting cost accounting and reporting processes.
Good knowledge of business process integration with other SAP modules.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with S/4HANA Finance will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
SAP Certification in FICO or S/4HANA Finance.
Experience in global rollouts or multi-country implementations.
Exposure to SAP Fiori applications and automation tools.
