Job Summary

AVP – Risk & Compliance

We are seeking a strategic leader with deep expertise in risk and compliance. Gallagher’s Center of Excellence (GCoE) is looking for a Vice President – Risk & Compliance to lead a high-impact team and drive global compliance operations.

Location: Pune / Mumbai
Reports to: Senior Executive Leadership
Team Size: 150 professionals
Division: Risk & Compliance CoE

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
Define and execute the CoE’s strategic roadmap
Advise senior leadership on emerging risks and regulatory trends
Establish governance frameworks and risk oversight mechanisms
Operational Oversight
Lead global operations in sanctions screening AML KYC and financial crime
Ensure compliance with OFAC EU UK APAC regulations
Drive automation quality assurance and process excellence
Team & Functional Leadership
Manage a diverse team of senior managers and specialists
Oversee ERM regulatory assurance conduct risk and data privacy functions
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning
Technology & Vendor Management
Own system administration for screening platforms
Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLA adherence
Collaborate with IT and data teams for seamless integration
Risk & Compliance Assurance
Lead control testing risk assessments and regulatory assurance programs
Support audits and regulatory reviews with robust documentation

What We’re Looking For:

- 18 years of experience in Risk & Compliance within insurance or financial services
- Proven leadership in managing large teams and complex compliance operations
- Deep expertise in AML KYC sanctions screening and financial crime
- Strong grasp of global regulatory frameworks and risk management
- Experience with compliance tech platforms and vendor management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Certifications:
CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager)
Insurance Industry background preferred
