About the role:

You will lead EPAs Illegal Waste Dumping Taskforce manage a small team and partnering across government and industry to design and deliver interventions that reduce illegal dumping across Victoria. This role requires strong leadership exceptional stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence and negotiate across diverse sectors.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of the Illegal Waste Dumping Taskforce ensuring projects meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Manage resources budgets and reporting while fostering a positive high-performing team culture.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government industry and community stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Represent EPA at external forums confidently stepping up to influence discussions and raise awareness of environmental laws and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery applying new regulatory powers under the Environment Protection Act 2017.

Skills and experience:

  • Senior-level experience in project or program management delivering complex regulatory initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership capability with proven ability to manage diverse teams and hold your own in challenging forums.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple sectors.
  • Solution-focused problem solver highly articulate with advanced communication and documentation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of environmental regulation and monitoring frameworks including waste duties and evaluation processes.
