Colne Valley Veterinary Practice offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped purpose-built small animal practice with a collaborative team and the clinical freedom to manage cases properly. With exposure to exotics and a balanced mix of consulting and surgery across the week this role is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to continue developing within a supportive experienced team.

The team and practice
Colne Valley Veterinary Practice has been caring for the pets of Colchester and the surrounding community for more than 75 years. Our Colchester site is a purpose-built small animal practice with five consulting rooms a dedicated surgical theatre and a separate exotics ward with up to date and modern equipment.
Within our four-day working week we aim to provide every vet with a balanced rota of two consulting days and two theatre days supporting development as a confident and capable all-round clinician while still encouraging individual clinical interests.
Youll work alongside a friendly and experienced team of vets nurses and support colleagues who enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting each other day-to-day. The team includes vets with special interests in imaging and exotics as well as a colleague currently studying towards a surgical certificate.
The practice is well equipped with digital x-ray ultrasound and endoscopy facilities enabling you to diagnose and manage cases to a high clinical standard. We also have a nearby branch practice in Wivenhoe providing consults helping us maintain strong relationships with clients across the local community.
Located in Britains oldest recorded town Colchester offers the perfect balance of city access countryside and coast. With easy access to London by train and some beautiful coastline just a short drive away its an ideal location for work and lifestyle balance.
What were looking for
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Confident managing routine consultations and surgical procedures
A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
Passion for delivering excellent clinical care and client experience
Interest in developing clinical interests such as exotics is welcomed
A minimum of 3-5 years UK experience an advantage but not essential.
