Description

Are you passionate about aquatics Do you enjoy teaching others swimming skills and techniques as well as pool safety If so please consider applying to become a swim instructor and joining our Aquatics Team at the Tri Community Branch YMCA!

Job Responsibilities:

Teach swimming lessons to diverse groups of people including adult members youth children families and those with diverse abilities.
Create a welcoming and safe pool environment for all.
Use appropriate equipment when necessary and report any issues with equipment to the Aquatics Director or facility personnel.
File any reports or maintain any necessary documentation about progress for program participants.
Attend staff trainings/meetings and maintain relevant certification related to the position.
Other duties as necessary as assigned by the Aquatic Director/Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Hold current Water Safety Instruction certification or be willing to become certified
One year of experience teaching swim lessons preferred
Must be at least 16 years old

Job Type: Part-time Hourly

Schedule: Weekday mornings & evenings and Weekends- Please let us know what your availability is!

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus access to YMCA facilities ( gym pool ect.) for all YMCA employees Employee Assistance Program and Sick Leave.
