Job Summary

As an External Sales Advisor you will support efforts to help protect our customers with life insurance by assisting with several distribution models. You will work alongside agents on sales calls consult and share best practices and participate in group training sessions as well as collaborate with business partners to drive sales.

In this primarily home-based role you will spend 80% of your time (4 days per week) working from home proximate to one of our office locations (within approximately 35-50 miles). St. Joseph MO 64507 Hopkins MN 55305.

Position Compensation Range:

$62000.00 - $103000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Communicate product sales opportunities product or procedure enhancements.

  • Implement life strategies to help increase life sales with distribution partners.

  • Recognize and provide recommendations or solutions when working with distribution partners both internal and external.

  • Provide coaching on prospecting sales skill and product knowledge to distribution partners.

  • Assist agents with book of business reviews to identify immediate and potential sales opportunities.

  • Have knowledge of life insurance products and riders.

  • May be required to complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills achievements or experience.

Specialized Knowledge Skills and Education Requirements

  • Self-Motivated prior sales experience with strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively to manage multiple projects with a strong desire to succeed in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions support or service.

  • Demonstrated effective experience leading people and/or projects; or demonstrated effective leadership experience.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%

Licenses

  • Must have or obtain proper Life insurance license within three months of hire. License maintenance and continuing education required.

  • CLU designation must be obtained within 3 years.

  • Resident Life license within 30 days of hire.

  • Non-resident Life license within 90 days of hire.

  • Valid drivers license required plus an acceptable driving record.

Insurance License Options

  • Required to maintain current active license(s) status by continuing education and meeting all state operating and regulatory requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
