About the job

The Director of the Swarovski Foundation Maternity Cover will lead the Foundations strategic operational and philanthropic activities ensuring the continued delivery of its mission to promote sustainable livelihoods through education to reduce inequality across three areas of focus: Equity Water and Creativity. This role involves leading the Foundation as per UK statutory and regulatory responsibilities including the Charity Commission and Companies House while overseeing partnerships grant-making and global programmes. The Director will manage a dynamic team and work closely with Trustees and stakeholders to advance the Foundations vision and impact during the maternity cover period.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Management Reporting Report to the Chair and Trustees to fulfil all management governance responsibilities as Director.
• Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance and safeguarding of the Foundation as per Charity Commission and Companies House frameworks.
• Strategy and Operations Execute the Foundations strategy and operations in alignment with its mission and values.
• Fundraising Strategy Develop fundraising and partnership opportunities to further the Swarovski Foundations mission and support long-term sustainability.
• Team Management Manage a high-performing team of five people in the UK US and Austria to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Financial Management Lead financial planning budgets and reporting to ensure responsible and transparent use of funds.
• Impact Management - Overseeing the development of the Salesforce system as a CRM database to manage impact data reporting and stakeholder information effectively.
• Relationship Management Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to the Swarovski group charity partners and global collaborators to deliver impactful programmes.
• Process Management Supervise the Foundations grant-making processes including selection due diligence and reporting.
• Communication Oversee the Advocacy and Engagement efforts of the Foundation.
• Networking Identify new opportunities for partnerships innovation and programme development to expand the Foundations reach and impact.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional who combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery and brings the following qualifications and qualities:

• A university degree in International Development Economics or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in leadership roles within corporate foundation philanthropy sector non-profit or international development sectors
• Strong understanding of global challenges related to equity creativity water and education including the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the United Nations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Skills especially Excel and PowerPoint
• A true team player with strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with a proactive approach
• A collaborative creative and adaptable mindset with a passion for driving positive social and environmental change.
