The Center for Alzheimer Research and Treatment (CART) is a multidisciplinary clinical research team dedicated to the advancement of Alzheimers disease (AD) therapeutics through innovative research. Our mission is twofold: to improve the early diagnosis of AD by employing more sensitive clinical evaluations biological markers and neuroimaging; and to assess promising new treatments for AD.
Our multidisciplinary team at CART is engaged in clinical research. Clinical research is the study of health and illness in people. It is how we learn to diagnose treat and prevent a clinical research study participants undergo clinical evaluations such as testing of cognitive function behavior daily functioning physical exams blood tests and brain scans.

The co-op student will be responsible for supporting recruitment efforts for Alzheimers disease clinical trials. The student will assist with tasks related to increased volume of referrals. These include (but are not limited to): making initial and follow-up calls to those interested in research conducting telephone screens data entry collecting medical records and assisting with quality assurance. They will assist with certain aspects of study visits which may include check-in process during their on-site visits and escorting patients to their MRI/PET Scan visits offsite.
You will need to be able to work from 60 Fenwood Road and at times from MGH Main Campus located at 55 Fruit Street.

- High level of organization attention to detail and follow-through to complete tasks.
