Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Industrial Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya Malaysia. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying industrial engineering principles to real-world manufacturing challenges.
- Collect and analyze data from the shop floor to identify areas for process improvement
- Assist in developing and implementing lean manufacturing techniques to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows and reduce waste
- Conduct time and motion studies to improve workplace ergonomics and productivity
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project findings and recommendations
- Support the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to solve complex problems
- Assist in the creation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various manufacturing processes
Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Understanding of industrial engineering principles lean manufacturing concepts and process improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to work in a factory setting and conduct observations at various workstations
- Innovative mindset with a passion for optimizing processes and driving efficiency
- Medium to advanced English language proficiency both written and verbal
