Job Description:
L3 Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our Norfolk Vateam.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to procedures materials and technical instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform regular inspections of work areas and other quality assessments.
- Attend production meetings for updates on job progress and work with shop leads to address issues.
- Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage.
- Maintain equipment and ensure calibration for testing.
- Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Specialist as needed.
- Support quality control initiatives
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- 5 years of quality or technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and QA systems.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics and a thorough understanding of electrical/electronic test results.
- Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers micrometers).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- NBPI and NACE certifications preferred but not required
- J-STD-001 preferred but not required
- WHMA/IPC-A-620 preferred but not required
