Lifeguard

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety security and well-being of all guests and colleagues using the pool facilities at Raffles & Fairmont Doha. The role requires constant vigilance excellent swimming ability and a high standard of guest service in line with the standards of Raffles & Fairmont brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous surveillance of all pool areas to prevent accidents and injuries
• Enforce hotel pool rules in a professional and courteous manner
• Respond immediately and effectively to emergency situations including water rescues and first aid
• Administer CPR first aid or emergency care when required and coordinate with medical services if necessary
• Conduct routine safety checks of pool areas and lifesaving equipment
• Provide a warm welcoming and attentive service to all guests ensuring a luxury guest experience
• Assist guests with poolside needs including towel distribution sunbed arrangement and general inquiries
• Promote a family-friendly safe and relaxing environment for guests of all ages
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool and lifeguard stations
• Ensure lifesaving equipment is functional and properly positioned at all times
• Record and report incidents accidents and maintenance issues accurately and promptly
• Support pool and recreation operations during events and peak periods
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies health & safety regulations and Qatar local authority guidelines
• Follow Accor brand standards SOPs and emergency action plans at all times
• Participate in regular training drills and performance evaluations

Qualifications :

• Valid Lifeguard Certification (internationally recognized)
• Valid CPR AED and First Aid certification
• Previous lifeguard experience in a luxury hotel resort or beach club preferred
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
• Knowledge of pool safety regulations and emergency response procedures
• Fluency in English language; Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
