As a member of the Strategic Solutions (SS) team you will play a key role in positioning Torstar to compete effectively in the marketplace.
This is a unionized position.
Partnering with our sales team you will create strategic sales solutions and new revenue opportunities for select clients. Partnering with our editorial teams you will develop new client revenue opportunities.
You will respond to proposal requests and develop proactive strategies and recommendations for clients with significant media budgets.
General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Sales Sales Support Data Marketing Promotions & Editorial teams to develop proposals that deliver on client KPIs and contribute towards achieving Torstar revenue target
- Attend client meetings (as necessary) with sales team members to better understand customer needs
- Lead brainstorms for creative solutions to client proposals and assigned vertical strategies
- Proactively develop new opportunities to gain new revenue streams
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure a smooth hand-off of sold campaigns to the Post-Sale team and maintain knowledge of campaign performance in order to assist with renewal conversations after the campaign has finished
- Remain up-to-date with all new Torstar product developments in commercial and editorial products
- Stay current with innovations in the media industry and share with relevant internal stakeholder
