About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright to design develop and maintain automated tests across web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building robust automation frameworks collaborating closely with development teams and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).

Build and enhance automation frameworks for UI API and end-to-end testing.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Azure DevOps Jenkins GitLab CI).

Analyze test failures troubleshoot issues and provide detailed defect reports.

Work closely with developers QA engineers and product teams to define test strategy and ensure test coverage.

Perform functional regression smoke and cross-browser testing.

Ensure test reliability stability and maintainability.

Participate in sprint planning grooming and reviews in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Contribute to QA best practices standards and process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

26 years of experience in Test Automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for automation.

Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.

Good understanding of modern web technologies (HTML CSS DOM REST APIs).

Experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman REST Assured).

Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Strong debugging analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience with other automation tool Selenium

Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).

Performance or visual regression testing experience.

Test management tool JIRA

Soft Skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Ownership mindset with attention to detail.

Ability to work in fast-paced agile environments.
