Job Summary
MalaceHR is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support the operation inspection and maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems across assigned facilities. This role assists Mobile Engineers with maintenance and repair efforts while independently performing routine inspections preventive maintenance and general facility repairs. The Maintenance Mechanic ensures safe efficient and reliable building operations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical electrical plumbing and other installed building systems and equipment.
Complete facility inspections and due diligence assessments reporting conditions that impact occupant safety and building operations.
Perform general interior maintenance including hanging pictures installing keyboard trays repairing office furniture systems and servicing doors.
Support the operations team with building and equipment maintenance as directed.
Move office furniture machinery equipment and materials as needed.
Replace lighting fixtures lamps and ballasts.
Clean HVAC coils and replace filters and belts.
Perform exterior and interior repairs including walls flooring fixtures roofing systems and lighting.
Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
Safety & Compliance
Conduct hazard assessments as required.
Follow all safety procedures maintaining clean and safe work areas at all times.
Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with all applicable state county and city codes ordinances and regulations.
Complete all required safety training on schedule.
Practice defensive driving when operating company vehicles.
Properly store use and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with company policy.
Driving (If Applicable)
Maintain a valid state drivers license for mobile assignments.
Administrative & Reporting
Submit P-Card receipts daily in accordance with company policy.
Update work order status in real time using the CMMS.
Utilize CMMS platforms such as 360 Facility to document all work performed.
Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections.
Escalate operational issues or concerns to the Customer and Manager in a timely manner.
Attend required work safety and team meetings.
Other Duties
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Training
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Universal EPA Certification required.
Experience
Minimum of 13 years of experience in general building maintenance and repair including basic plumbing and electrical work.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
