Electrical Design Engineer
Job Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing developing and reviewing electrical systems for industrial commercial or infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing detailed electrical drawings calculations and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with international standards client specifications and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical design calculations layouts and schematics for LV/MV systems.
Develop detailed drawings for power distribution lighting grounding earthing and ELV systems.
Perform load calculations cable sizing short-circuit analysis and voltage drop calculations.
Coordinate with mechanical civil and instrumentation teams to ensure design integration.
Review vendor drawings technical submittals and material specifications.
Ensure compliance with IEC BS NEC IEEE and local authority standards.
Support project execution teams with technical clarifications and design modifications.
Participate in design reviews technical meetings and client discussions.
Assist during commissioning and testing phases as required.

Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems power distribution lighting and earthing systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD (ETAP Dialux or similar tools are an advantage).
Experience in industrial oil & gas infrastructure or commercial projects preferred.
Good understanding of electrical codes safety standards and project documentation.
Strong analytical coordination and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
