Position Summary

The organization is seeking a skilled and compassionate Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its full-time urgent care team in Bronx NY.

This is a full-time fast-paced outpatient-focused role within a collaborative clinical environment. The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner will evaluate diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries ensuring timely high-quality care across all age groups.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Evaluate diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries

  • Perform physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories

  • Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests including labs imaging and point-of-care testing

  • Perform minor procedures such as wound care suturing splinting and incision and drainage (as trained)

  • Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans

  • Educate patients on diagnoses treatment options follow-up care and preventive measures

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient-centered care

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)

  • Licensure & Certification: Active or eligible New York State Nurse Practitioner license; national certification required (FNP or AGNP preferred)

  • Experience: Prior urgent care emergency medicine or acute care experience preferred; new graduates with relevant clinical training are welcome
