Purpose of Job

Manages Sasols commercial risk ensures compliance and adds value to the bottom line through effective sourcing negotiations contract execution and end to end contract management.

Key Accountabilities

Accountable for the day-to-day tactical execution of assigned sourcing and contracting activities including execution of the sourcing / bidding process negotiations contract development and execution contract management (adherence to contract KPIs etc.) and administration (document management renewals extensions etc.) support to contract issue resolution ensure operationalization of contracts in SAP (Outline Agreement requests / maintenance) support contract implementation / rollout and provide input into supplier performance.

Ensures compliance to Sasol code of conduct compliance framework and Procurement processes procedures category strategies and guidance sourcing plans and work instructions

Provides input into the development of sourcing and contracting Procurement business processes

Assists with emergency requests from End Users and the prioritization of contract renewals notified through the Contract Management System

Ensures sourcing and contracting of materials and services from approved vendors

Ensures compliance to Sasols Approved Manufacturers List (AML) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality systems

Proactively seeks to reduce Procurement spend increase value from our suppliers identify work improvements to drive efficiency (including automation) and report on savings / value generated

Builds and maintains collaborative and cohesive relationships with key internal business and Procurement stakeholders to assist with improved demand planning scope development and quality of contract requests to improve Procurements ability to manage risk and deliver the right materials / services on-time and at best total cost of ownership

Maintains relationships with suppliers

Work with Legal to develop and execute contracts develop templates and resolve contract issues.

Assist in reconciling complex invoices to enable vendor payment

Resolve commercial disputes and claims as they arise

Support the development of sourcing strategies / plans for assigned areas

Responsible for onboarding/off boarding orientation administering supervision and management of contractor team members Administrators as appointed

Accountable for providing regular updates to stakeholders on status of their request

Formal Education/ Working Experience

High School/ School diploma or similar with 10 years relevant working experience OR

University bachelors degree in business or related field with 5 years relevant working experience

Leadership / supervisory experience preferred

Required Personal and Professional Skills

Certifications in supply chain management project management contracting and or other related areas preferred

Good working knowledge of computer programs including Databases Excel PowerPoint Word Power BI and related applications

Good analytical skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of procurement business standards policies and procedures preferred

Knowledge of contract language and risk management

Demonstrated negotiation skills

Good indirect leadership and/or supervisory skills - influencing and leading teams who are not direct reports

Proficient working knowledge of computerized information systems (i.e. SAP document management systems sourcing platforms (Coupa Ariba other))

Effective communication and team building skills to be able to work well within a team

Expertise in contracting process

Ability to effectively collaborate across the regional and global organization
