Summary:
The Library Assistant 2 supports Talking Book Services by managing audiobook equipment maintaining patron records assisting with circulation and ensuring compliance with policies. This role requires strong customer service technical aptitude and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process clean and repair audiobook machines; coordinate major repairs and maintain inventory.
- Update patron records in the Integrated Library System (ILS) accurately and in compliance with privacy standards.
- Prepare monthly reports and statistics on time.
- Assist with circulation during high-volume periods or staff absences.
- Apply state and federal policies and maintain professional conduct.
Required Skills:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and accurate data entry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
