Position Summary
Administer various tests and provide operational support and clerical functions at the MCC Testing Center.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Administer/proctor exams following strict test guidelines and standards set for each individual test
- Assist all administrative and clerical functions of the Testing Center including but not limited to test scheduling checking identification test proctoring disseminating accurate information filing scanning mailing accessing and entering information into databases recording results collecting fees etc.
- Maintain confidentiality security and integrity of all tests testing procedures and student information
- Obtain and maintain certification in all administered tests. Attend training (off and on campus) as required by supervisor
- Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues stakeholders vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
- Work independently and anticipate needs of the students and/or department
- Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Experience in customer service and working with diverse populations
- One-year experience in related area
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual communication skills
Skills and Specifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel)
- Ability to learn technological applications
- Strong written oral communication and interpersonal skills. Sensitivity to students whose cultural and educational experiences differ from his/her own
- Ability to meet deadlines manage multiple tasks and to prioritize
- Ability to relate effectively with students staff and community members
- Self-directed and detail-oriented
- Ability to be very flexible to assist staff in providing Center hours coverage
- Ability to work under pressure with composure
- Ability to safely lift 25 pounds unassisted
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work cooperatively with other Testing Center staff
- Ability to use small office equipment including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems
- Ability to use computers for data entry word processing and/or accounting purposes
