Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to manage our core technology operations including service desk support user lifecycle management and asset administration. This role is critical to ensuring smooth IT operations across our organization.
Core Responsibilities
1. Service Desk & Technical Support
- Triage and resolve incoming service desk tickets promptly
- Handle first-line technical issues independently when within the scope of expertise
- Route complex or specialized issues to appropriate Team members or departments
- Maintain clear documentation of ticket resolutions and escalation procedures
- Ensure excellent customer service and timely communication with end users
2. User Lifecycle Management (Onboarding/Offboarding)
- Manage complete onboarding and offboarding workflows related to system administration in for all user types and project-level boards:
- W-2 employees
- 1099 contractors
- Provision and deprovision user accounts and feature licenses across our technology stack:
- Microsoft 365 (SSO/Azure AD administration)
- Slack (workspace management)
- Development tools (GitHub Atlassian suite)
- Other platform-specific accounts as needed
- Send platform invitations and ensure proper access controls
- Provision and manage physical access control through our Door Management software investigate and communicate any system alerts and coordinate with building management for external access.
- Coordinate with HR and project managers where needed to ensure smooth transitions
3. Asset Management
- Administer Mosyle MDM for secure provisioning of MacBooks
- Ensure asset management-related policies and procedures are followed and participate in revisions when appropriate
- Manage project-related devices and network access-related onboarding and offboarding particularly for security-focused projects
- Oversee corporate loaner program:
- Track device inventory and assignments
- Ensure devices are correctly configured and secure before deployment
- Process device returns and prepare for redeployment
- Oversee decommissioning when needed
- Maintain accurate asset records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with security standards for sensitive projects
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with enterprise IT administration and helpdesk operations
- Soft Skills
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration (Azure AD/Entra ID)
- Familiarity with MDM solutions (Mosyle experience preferred)
- Proficiency with MacOS and Windows operating systems (required)
- Familiarity with Linux systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of network management and troubleshooting
- Experience with ticketing systems and workflow management tools
- Knowledge of developer tooling (GitHub Atlassian) is a plus
- Occasional after-hours support and physical presence in the office are required
