Job Description
Seeking experienced night-shift Registered Nurses for Adult Critical Care units including CCU and ICU areas. Unit placement will be determined based on the candidates clinical background and experience.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers and be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with minimal orientation. EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience is preferred.
Nurses will be required to work every other weekend and may be scheduled for some holidays. Requests for fixed schedules or time off exceeding 7 days will not be approved.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New York
BLS certification (must be current and eligible for recertification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a comparable hospital setting
Candidates must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
Prior ICU/CCU experience required
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance drug screening and criminal background check
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in a critical care setting
Deliver high-quality patient care in CCU/ICU environments with minimal supervision
Monitor and manage critically ill patients
Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
Adhere to hospital policies clinical protocols and patient safety standards
