Job Summary

Help us get ahead of disease together with our MSAT Process Chemist Internship 2026:

Education required: Undergraduate studying a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university preferably in chemistry or equivalent discipline with a focus in organic/ organometallic synthesis analytical pharmaceutical science and materials science

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: July to December 2026

What will you do

  • Assist in the evaluation of technical continuous improvement works of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API)production

  • Get exposure to various laboratory tasks ranging from synthesis to analysis of the products evaluation of the resultant quality yield operational ease etc under the guidance of a process chemist

  • Routine plant support including aiding troubleshooting investigations and monitoring of physical properties such as particle size distribution specific surface area

What will you learn

  • Acquire hands on experience on different laboratory tasks ranging from synthesis to analysis of the products evaluation of the resultant quality yield operational ease

  • Hands-on experience on process troubleshooting and mimic process failure mode under laboratory setting

  • Data analysis and interpretation of results

  • Present results participate in technical discussions and influence data-driven decision making

  • Appreciation of the importance of process chemistry on API(s) manufacturing processes and quality

  • Acquire knowledge and application of good laboratory practices (GLP) and good documentation practices (GDP)

  • Strong interest to learn more about commercial manufacturing of API(s)

  • On-the-job learning with high level of independence in project activities

  • Strong written and oral communications skills

  • Excellent English proficiency

  • A keen interest in production

  • Meticulous organized and dedicated

  • Apply his/ her knowledge of communications skills and learn engaging different stake holders to deliver a project
