JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic strategic and results-drivenprofessional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager Software Engineering.

Reporting to the Director of Application Services this position is responsible to lead one of the following technology products team: Nuclear RG Energy Market Enterprise & Supply Chain Corporate Financeensuring the successful delivery enhancement and optimization of enterprise IT solutions. This role is responsible for overseeing product roadmaps engaging with stakeholders and driving technology solutions that support business objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead the IT product delivery function focusing on enterprise technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leaders IT stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define and execute technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals.
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle from strategy and design to implementation maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure IT solutions meet regulatory compliance and security requirements.
• Drive operational excellence by improving system performance reliability and efficiency.
• Lead a team of technical resources to deliver high-quality IT solutions.
• Oversee vendor and partner relationships to ensure effective service delivery and system enhancements.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of IT products.
• Foster a culture of innovation agility and continuous improvement within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology Business Administration Management or related fields particularly if combined with technical experience.
• 8-10 years overall experience with 3-5 years in a leadership role
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in mentoring and developing IT professionals.
• Familiarity with Agile DevOps and modern IT product management methodologies.
• Experience managing complex IT projects and product delivery in an enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with finance IT and business leaders to align technology with business needs.

The base salary range considers many factors including but not limited to experience education and training including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions.
