Division: Within the Rehabilitation Department at ELMHS Located in Jackson LA
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation treatment habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions jail-based evaluations supervised group home and residential programs forensic evaluation care custody and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
ELMHS is looking for a motivated detail-oriented individual to come and join the team in the Rehabilitation Department as an Occupational Therapist!
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana Occupational Therapist temporary permit.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role you will:
- Provides skilled Occupational Therapy services under the supervision of Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapists to early middle and late adult clients
- Communicates patients progress through weekly or monthly documentation and ensures that this documentation meets quality management standards.
- Train and supervise assigned Work Therapy clients.
- Complete work therapy evaluations patient time sheets and other paperwork associated with training and working with the patients.
- Assist with the acquisition maintenance and safe use of OT supplies and equipment.
- Ensures that the inventory of supplies is maintained within budgetary constraints.
- Informs the OT supervisor of equipment that is damaged and/or any situation that poses a safety risk for other employees or clients.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: WAE (not to exceed 1245 hours in a 12-month period)
