To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a System Architect located in Buffalo Grove IL.
Reporting to the Systems Architecture Manager the System Architect with strong expertise inManufacturing Execution Systems (MES)andenterprise system integration who can also contribute tosolution architecture decisions. This role combinesstrategic analysistechnical leadership andhands-on design support ensuring that our manufacturing systems are integrated usingmodern scalable and secure technologies. The ideal candidate will act as abridge between business IT and architecture teams influencing technology direction while ensuring business value.
What a typical day looks like:
- Engage with business stakeholders to capture and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed system specifications and integration requirements.
- Collaborate with solution architects to design integration patterns between MES and ERP WMS QMS and other systems.
- Contribute to architecture discussionsand ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Work with modern integration technologies ( APIs OPC UA MQTT Kafka NiFi RabbitMQ Node Red).
- Support data flow design for real-time and batch process
- Partner with development teams to validate technical feasibility and ensure adherence to requirements.
- Define and execute test cases for system and integration validation
- Maintain clear documentation for requirements design decisions and integration flows.
- Ensure compliance with security data integrity and regulatory standards
- Identify opportunities to optimize MES processes and integration strategies.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Bachelors degree in n Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- 7 years inBusiness Systems Analysis Solution Design or architect roles.
- Proven experience withMES Systems
- Strong background insystem integrationandenterprise architecture principles
- Proficiency inintegration technologies(APIs message brokers event-driven architecture).
- Experience withMicroservices Architecture
- Expertise withdata modelingSQL andreal-time data streaming
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability toinfluence technical decisionsandmentor junior analysts.
