DescriptionThe Storage Footprint supporting the Oracle Health IES Infrastructure consists of a huge footprint managing storage spanning over 26 Datacenters over 550 Storage arrays more than 2800 fabric switches and a surplus of over 260PB of storage capacity.
The Storage Engineer position within Oracle Cerner IES organization is responsible for managing our Storage Area Network in support of our solutions and services.
The primary function of this position is that you will implement and manage SAN hardware and software serving storage to a heterogeneous environment consisting of Windows Linux and various UNIX operating systems.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will Do
- Storage Provisioning and Reclaims
- Product management/support
- Fulfilling service requests for infrastructure services
- Performance monitoring tuning and statistical reporting
- Providing advanced escalation support including engaging supplier support
- Experience with at least one of the following: OCI CI UniVMAX UniSphere OnCommand Manager SymCLI
- Intermediate experience with any one of the following OSes (at a minimum): AIX HP-UX Linux and Windows Server
- Knowledge on VMware will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of ITIL process
- 24x7 Oncall support
- Flexibility in shifts
