Job Overview
This position is a customer service oriented forward-facing position supporting the recruitment function within the Department of Human Resources and talent Development. An employee in this position provides operational support to the recruitment team by performing a variety of routine to varied recruiting tasks requiring proficiency in office and technology skills. Assignments typically consist of daily digital operations related to job postings and applicant files within the applicant tracking system. Individuals in this role also respond to requests for information via telephone email or in-person visits prepare materials for recruitment events and disseminate daily job opportunities to the Division. Individuals in this position take directions from members of the recruitment team on overall assignments to plan for and complete their own daily tasks provide updates on work status and use independent judgement and training to take appropriate actions to deal with standard recurring situations.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepares requisitions and corresponding job postings for functional team(s) within the department.
- Reviews processes and updates job applications in the applicant tracking system with follow-up contact to applicants as needed.
- Responds to frequent recruitment and job application inquiries to the LCPS recruitment email inbox LCPS communication system and applications phone line.
- Prepares materials for and participates in recruitment events as needed which may include some evening or weekend work .
- Assists with special projects including creation and maintenance of frequently-used responses.
Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Two (2) years of experience in a Human Resources and/or Customer Service environment utilizing technology systems
Licenses and Certifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong oral written interpersonal communication and technology skills
- Ability to work successfully in a changing fast-paced high volume work environment while maintaining a strong customer service focus with efficiency accuracy and detail
- Ability to write clear professional and detailed responses and documents as needed
- Demonstrate professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with internal staff members at different levels within the department and school division
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications and functions with the ability to learn new computer programs related to this position
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and possesses the ability to maintain confidentiality and to comply with school division policy and procedures

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly talking expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. The employee must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately loudly or quickly. The employee must possess normal cognitive abilities including the ability to learn recall and apply certain practices and policies. Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.

Employees who perform the responsibilities of the above position have been identified as having the potential to telework. Telework is defined as completing ones duties and responsibilities at a site other than ones assigned duty order to be eligible for telework privileges an employee must have demonstrated consistent positive performance and have the support and approval of their direct addition these employees must have reliable high-speed internet and a designated workspace that allows them privacy while completing sensitive and confidential work. Employees who are non-exempt and are teleworking will work their required scheduled hours and gain approval from their supervisor if they work more than 8 hours a day or more than 40 hours in a workweek. Teleworking privileges can be amended changed or revoked based upon the performance of the employee as well as the needs of Loudoun County Public Schools.
