Job Summary

The opportunity:

Cover all public small-cap and mid-cap companies in the financial sector. Rigorously research individual companies and recommend stocks for investment.

The team:

We are a team of five sector specialists with a long track record managing more than $2 billion of assets.

Each of us serves as the subject matter expert for their sector. However our process is unique in that every investment recommendation is shared with the entire team not just the portfolio manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Complete deep independent fundamental analysis of companies including the assessment of overall company quality (competitive positioning management etc.) and financial statement analysis to make investment recommendations.

  • Contribute stock recommendations for inclusion in our small-cap portfolios

Required Qualifications:

  • Intelligence motivation and a high degree of personal integrity

  • Passionate about markets

  • Willingness to travel to visit companies on site and at conferences

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly

  • Demonstrated ability to model earnings and cash flow

  • 2-5 years of experience investing in small-cap and mid-cap financial companies

  • Bachelors degree; CFA designation and/or MBA preferred

Salary range is expected to be between

$113000.00 USD - $179000.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
