WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A PAPER MONEY GRADER:
- Authenticate and evaluate collectible paper money using PMGs established grading standards.
- Assign accurate numerical grades based on condition using the Sheldon Grading Scale.
- Identify signs of alterations restoration work and counterfeit notes with precision.
- Record grading notes and item details accurately in internal systems.
- Meet production and accuracy goals in a performance-driven environment.
- Collaborate with peers and senior graders to ensure consistency and quality control.
WHAT MAKES YOU THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Previous experience in paper money or as a knowledgeable dealer/collector with a strong understanding of grading concepts.
- Proven ability to work with precision and consistency in a production-based environment.
- Strong observational and critical thinking skills for detecting subtle defects or authenticity issues.
- Comfortable using computers and digital tracking systems.
- Self-motivated dependable and committed to maintaining high standards of integrity.
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Sarasota FL Monday through Friday.
